In addition to exhibitions, the Library Gallery often hosts panel discussions, guest lectures and private gatherings for a number of disciplines, online courses for medical assistants and UMBC organizations. The Albin O. Kuhn Library is also home to the Rotunda Gallery, located on the first floor — which most often displays pieces from UMBC’s Special Collections — and the 7th floor Open Area, often the site of Social Sciences and Humanities/RN to BSN Programs and Forums.
All events held in the Albin O. Kuhn Library are free and open to all ages unless otherwise indicated.
For the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery, pay and display visitor parking is available on the top floor of the Walker Avenue Garage for $2.00 per hour and payable by MasterCard, Visa or exact currency (no change provided.) To reach the Walker Avenue Garage, circle around Hilltop Circle from either direction until you arrive at Walker Avenue. Take Walker Avenue toward the center of campus. The garage will be on your right, with visitor parking on the top deck.
Visitor parking is also available at metered garages located at Administration Drive, The Commons Drive. Meters are enforced Monday through Friday for hours posted. Except for meters, all other campus roadways and lots require UMBC permits Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Permits are enforced year round. Fees are not enforced on University observed holidays.
