Directions to UMBC
We are located at about 10 minutes from downtown Baltimore and about 25 minutes from I-495. UMBC is easy to get to—we’re located immediately off I-95 and close to I-695.

From Baltimore and points north, proceed south on I-95 to exit 47B. Take Route 166 toward Catonsville and then follow signs to the campus and visual and performing arts venues.

From I-695, exit at Wilkens Avenue and continue one-half mile south to the entrance of UMBC at the intersection of Wilkens Avenue and Hilltop Road. Follow signs to visual and performing arts venues.

From Washington and points south, proceed north on I-95 to Exit 47B. Take Route 166 toward Catonsville and then follow signs to the campus and visual and performing arts venues.

Parking

For evening and weekend events, you may park for free in Lot 8. Proceed from either direction around Hilltop Circle until you reach Hilltop Road, and then take Hilltop Road toward the center of campus. Take an immediate left into Lot 8 and park.

For the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery, pay and display visitor parking is available on the top floor of the Walker Avenue Garage ($2.00 per hour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. payable by MasterCard, Visa or exact currency only.) To reach the Walker Avenue Garage, circle around Hilltop Circle from either direction until you arrive at Walker Avenue. Take Walker Avenue toward the center of campus. The garage will be on your right, with visitor parking on the top deck.
