Baltimore Classical Guitar Society Presents “Made in Baltimore”
30th Anniversary Concert
Sunday, February 25, 2 p.m.
Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall

To celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2017–2018, the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society has selected four Baltimore composers (names currently embargoed) to write new works for the classical guitar.

All compositions will be inspired by Baltimore, and the project has received the working title “Made in Baltimore,” as it is entirely Baltimore based: established Baltimore composers nominated young and rising Baltimore composers for the commission. After selecting the four Baltimore composers, BCGS will pair them with young and rising Baltimore guitarists, and will also pair them with Baltimore mentors who will collaborate with them to prepare the works for world premieres.

Please join BCGS for this 60-minute concert in which the composers will be interviewed on stage about their commissions and the commissioning experience.

Admission is $15 general, and $10 for full-time students, members of the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society, and for seniors 65 and older. Tickets are available here through BCGS.
