Festival Baltimore Concert 3: Complete Hindemith Viola Sonatas, Day 1
Tuesday, June 18, 7:30 p.m.
Earl and Darielle Linehan Concert Hall

A mini-festival on its own within Festival Baltimore‘s lineup, a two-day complete Paul Hindemith viola sonatas event by Amadi Azikiwe (viola, USA) and Inesa Gegprifty (piano, Albania) will forever change your perspective on this composer. Let’s be honest — we are all a bit afraid of Hindemith (1895–1963). But witnessing his amazing journey through the genres of solo viola and viola and piano sonatas will definitely make you feel as if you now know Hindemith in person.

The second concert of this set is on Thursday, June 20. Both performances are presented together with brief lectures.

The program features:

Sonata Op. 11, No. 4 (with piano)
Sonata Op. 11, No. 5
Sonata Op. 25, No. 1
Sonata Op. 25 No. 4 (with piano)

Tickets are $0–25, available through Festival Baltimore here.
