Renowned violinist Gary Levinson returns to Festival Baltimore with the recital of two Prokofiev violin sonatas and the only Shostakovich violin sonata. Joined by the festival’s artistic director, pianist Asiya Korepanova, Levinson will present his view on the 20th century’s most coveted Russian violin sonatas.

Sonata for violin and piano No. 1 in F minor, Op. 80
Sonata for violin (flute) and piano No. 2 in D major, Op. 94a
Dmitri Shostakovich (1906–1975)
Sonata for violin and piano in G major, Op. 134
