In addition to exhibitions, the Library Gallery often hosts panel discussions, guest lectures and private gatherings for a number of disciplines, online courses for medical assistants and UMBC organizations. The Albin O. Kuhn Library is also home to the Rotunda Gallery, located on the first floor — which usually displays pieces from UMBC’s Special Collections — and the 7th floor Open Area, often the site of Social Sciences and Humanities/RN to BSN Programs and Forums.

All events held in the Albin O. Kuhn Library are free and open to all ages unless otherwise indicated.
Pay and display visitor parking is available in the Walker Avenue Garage. To get to the Walker Avenue Garage, circle around Hilltop Circle (either direction) until you reach Walker Avenue. Take Walker Avenue toward the center of campus. The garage will be on your right, with visitor parking on the top deck. Pay and display visitor parking is $2.00 per hour and payable by MasterCard, Visa or exact currency (no change provided).
General metered visitor parking is also available in the Administration Drive Garage, located near the Administration Building. Meter fees are $.25 for each 15 minutes, quarters only, maximum time of 5 hours.
Fees are not enforced on University observed holidays. (Parking Services does not guarantee that change will be available on campus, but there are change machines in the parking garages.)
Generally, campus roadways and non-visitor parking lots require UMBC permits Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Permits are enforced year round.
